Claiming Personal Passion Do you have restlessness or inner nudging you’d like to explore? Step off the treadmill! Examine your inborn gifts and strengths in this crossroad moment of organizational, ecological and economic history! Visioning Your Life Path This is the time for your vision to emerge for your life. Give voice to your anger, sorrow and joy. Access your vision and special gifts. Celebrate your ability to create, to love and to nurture. $395/$295 students/seniors, plus $25 materials fee for 8 hours. Scheduled at your convenience.

 

The Practice of Reconciliation Leadership: Emerging and seasoned leaders will be introduced to a unique competency model that links personal, interpersonal, group/systemic and global leadership skills to ensure respect for human rights, peaceful settlement of disputes for greater ecological integrity, economic and social well being. The methodology offers competency development to integrate leaders values, skills and experience — to build on one's mission, interpersonal and relational competences to group/team and global competencies. In an interactive, affirming, safe and lively environment, participants will be invited to learn more about your goodness and innate abilities. The personal skills introduced in this course are rediscovery of awe and wonder in daily life, self-awareness of one's gifts and strengths and a healthy self esteem, clarity of one’s own needs and agenda as well as understanding the role and untapped potential of the unconscious, balance and wellness in one's daily life. eliminating the dichotomy of a work self and a true self. Reconciliation Leaders are practical idealists who facilitate reconciling environments for any challenge in any setting. Work, Purpose, Place and Peace, This workshop presents opportunities to understand your gifts, talents and abilities, and expand perceptions about the importance of your own humanity to the world.  Humankind is being invited to recognize and perceive differently, to experience the interconnectedness of all life, and to interrelate with the spirit in new ways.  This workshop is based upon the concept of becoming fully conscious of the power and promise of your spiritual lineage, and recognizing your unique place in God’s universe. If you have been feeling you are on a spiritual journey preparing for something new to come, this workshop was designed for you. Friday-Sunday, July 24-26, 2009, $495, RSVP by 7/1/09. Michael E. Writing a Personal Mission Statement: Individual work, scheduled at participants’ convenience. A 10-hour individualized process and framework offered for emerging and seasoned leaders to become aware of core gifts and talents and form a one-sentence mission statement to articulate how one can make a difference in the world. Mission statements help leaders focus and become more effective. A well thought-out mission statement is protection, in a sense, against obstacles and self-defeating behavior because of the confidence and strength that comes from owning and trusting a strong sense of purpose. Scheduled at Your Convenience Tuition is $395 plus $25 materials fee.

 

Designing and Implementing Interventions for Global Change: Harnessing the Resources of Business, Religion and Politics for the Greening of the Earth This course is for people searching for a new way to address challenges that emphasize respect for human rights, peaceful settlement of disputes, ethics, values and systems that will secure greater ecological integrity, economic and social well being. Leadership and conflict prevention strategies for local and global challenges will be taught.  Room and board the responsibility of participants. Friday- Sunday, August 7-9, 2009, $395 ($295 students/seniors) plus $25 materials fee. RSVP by 07/30/09.

 

Reconciliation of Polarities: Personal and Interpersonal relationship skills will be learned through exercises that enable the participants to experience alternative methods of working with disparate views and belief systems leading to the development of a perspective which recognizes the essential value and inherent dignity of each human being as a basis for human rights. Reconciliation Leadership Coaching. Coaching to integrate the teachings, skills and leader’s vocational calling into one’s life, work and relationships. Scheduled at your convenience, 10 hours $595; $495 seniors and students.

Payment and Reservation Information:

A non-refundable deposit of $95 is requested for each course. The balance is due three weeks before the course or program begins. Full refund of tuition will be made if a request in made in writing two weeks prior to the scheduled course, minus a $100 cancellation fee.

 

Applicants for the certificate program must have a prior discussion with Virginia Swain to ensure resonance with the program's values and ideals.

About the Instructor:

The Mission-Focused and Reconciliation and Leadership Certificate Programs are led by Institute for Global Leadership Founder and Director Virginia Swain, who has 25 years of practical experience on five continents as an educator, consultant, ombuds, mediator, mentor, counselor and manager and trainer in commercial and non-profit enterprises. Through the Institute, Ms. Swain provides programs designed to empower emerging and seasoned leaders for the conditions of a post-September 11th workplace and community.
